Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) will face the killer in the “Scream” Season 2 finale. MTV

What do you do when you’re framed for murder? Emma and Audrey have to figure that out in the Season 2 finale of “Scream.”

The latest installment of the MTV series ended with a “to be continued” screen as Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) and Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus) were being carted away in handcuffs by the police. The Brandon James killer had outsmarted them, framing the two teens for murder using secret video footage and Emma’s dream journal. However, the synopsis teases that they have no plans on going down without a fight.

The official episode description for episode 12, titled “When A Stranger Calls,” reveals that Emma and Audrey “must make a daring move.” But what exact move is that? The promo video shows that they’ll come face-to-face with the killer after the police car gets into an accident.

“I want to keep playing,” their stalker threatens. “So, if you turn yourselves in, or even get caught, I’m gonna gut someone you love.”

After all the deaths that have already plagued Lakewood, Emma has no intentions of letting the killer hurt anybody else.

“I’m done running,” she yells in one scene. “If you want me, come and get me.”

The synopsis promises that Piper’s (Amelia Rose Blaire) “final surprise” will be unmasked in the finale. But who has she been working with all this time? All signs appear to be point to Eli (Sean Grandillo) as the killer. Kieran (Amadeus Serafini) can be seen facing off with his twisted cousin in one clip, while Noah (John Karna) encourages Sheriff Acosta to investigate Eli’s connection to Piper in another.

The “Scream” Season 2 finale will air on MTV on Tuesday, August 16 at 10 p.m. EDT.
