Sean “Diddy” Combs and JAY-Z have a lot in common — both are native New Yorkers, rappers, fashion moguls and, perhaps most importantly, fathers. The pair recently gained another commonality when the rapper and wife Beyoncé welcomed twins.

Diddy, who welcomed twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie Combs with ex-girlfriend Kim Porter in 2006, has had 10 years to adjust to life with multiples. As such, there’s no one better to dole out advice to the king and queen of the rap game. During an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Wednesday, the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper shared the sage wisdom he passed along to JAY-Z.

“The thing that I said is that you really have to be prepared for double the love,” he said (via ET Online). “You’re used to getting love from one child, but when you get this incredible love from two kids and they’re twins, it’s truly a blessing and may God bless him and Beyoncéand the family and everybody out there that has kids — period.”

Diddy continued, “That’s what really runs our lives, but to have twins is double the fun.”

Diddy didn’t reveal any more about how JAY-Z and Beyoncé are doing post babies, nor how the twins — reportedly born prematurely — are doing. This seems to be a common theme among those close to the couple. Destiny’s Child alumnae Kelly Rowland recently posted a video on her Instagram in which she joked about requests from fans to answer questions about Beyoncé’s twins with a simple, “No.”

Neither the “Sorry” singer nor JAY-Z has shared any kind of update about the twins on social media since their birth. Though, on June 18, proud grandfather Matthew Knoweles confirmed the birth of the children on Instagram. He shared a happy birthday message to the newborns writing, “They’re here!”

News broke of the twins arrival one day prior, though it’s been reported that they were born on Monday, June 12. Both Beyoncé and the twins remain hospitalized to do a “minor issue,” according to TMZ. The 20-time Grammy award winner is doing well, but doctors apparently don’t feel comfortable releasing her children because they weren’t carried to full term.

Sources claim the twins are suffering from jaundice. The condition, which causes elevated bilirubin levels, is being treated by having them “under the lights” during certain periods throughout the day. Jaundice, according to the Mayo Clinic, causes a yellow discoloration in newborn baby’s skin and eyes.

Reports had been swirling about Beyoncé’s pregnancy being high risk. Several outlets reported that doctors urged her to pull out of Coachella, which she was initially set to headline in April. She obliged and was replaced by Lady Gaga, rescheduling for 2018.

Beyoncé announced in February that she and JAY-Z were expecting. She made the news official on Instagram, posting a photo of her bare baby bump. In a caption, she revealed that she and her hubby had “been blessed two times over.”

She continued, “We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters.”
