Sean Kingston looked happy and healthy at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. The event was the young singer's first red carpet appearance since his near-fatal jet ski accident in May.

The 21-year-old Kingston was on hand to honor Justin Bieber, who won the Choice Male Artist award inside the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. The two friends shared a warm hug on stage in front of the young, screaming crowd, who gave Kingston a standing ovation.

In May, the "Beautiful Girls" singer was in Miami Beach when the jet ski he was on slammed into a bridge, injuring himself and his passenger.

Kingston was listed as being in critical condition following the accident. The singer was left with a broken jaw, fractured wrist and water in his lungs.

In a recent interview with MTV News, the singer confirmed that he had to undergo multiple surgeries and had lost nearly 50 pounds during the two-month recovery.

Kingston's spirits were positive when he reunited with the music channel at the Teen Choice Awards red carpet.

"I'm feeling good; I'm feeling blessed . . . Everything is good. I'm 100 percent back," he told MTV News.

Other big winners of the night included country superstar Taylor Swift and Ashton Kutcher, who reportedly led the young crowd into a rendition of Katy Perry's hit song "Teenage Dream."

The Teen Choice Awards also featured the Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Tyra Banks and "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively.

Kingston first rose to fame when he released "Beautiful Girls" in 2007. The single went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 charts for three weeks. Kingston has released two studio albums, "Sean Kingston" (2007) and "Tomorrow" (2009). A third studio album is in the works.
