On Sunday night, the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII, beating the Denver Broncos 43-8. And as is tradition for every Super Bowl, there will be a parade to honor the Seahawks on their first win in the NFL franchise’s history.

The Seattle Times reported fans will not be able to welcome their team back from New Jersey as they arrive at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Team officials said the move to ban fans from gathering when the Seahawks arrive Monday at 2:30 p.m. was made for safety reasons. Fans will also not be able to watch along South 188th Street in SeaTac or at Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Many were expecting to watch from the team’s practice facility as they did when the Seahawks left for the Super Bowl.

However, for eager fans who want to celebrate their team’s win, there will be a traditional parade for the Super Bowl Winners held on Wednesday, the Seattle Times reported.

“What a great day for the Seahawks and a great day for Seattle,” Seattle Mayor Ed Murray said in a statement. “This is the first NFL Championship for the team and a great achievement for the franchise. My congratulations go to the players, coaches and to the fans who all contributed to win this title. Now the city will prepare to celebrate in the way that only Seattle knows how.”

The victory parade will start at 11 a.m. on Fourth Avenue, south of Denny Way, in downtown Seattle. The route will lead along Fourth before ending at CenturyLink Field around 1:30 p.m.

Revelers are encouraged to carpool or use public transit, since parking will be limited. SBNation said the Seahawks parade could be “one of the most memorable Super Bowl parades in recent memory” because the team has “one of the rowdiest fan bases in the league.” Bleacher Report explained: “The 12th man has become famous for their over-the-top cheering and sometimes extravagant costumes to go along with the sheer mind-numbing sound that comes out of their mouths.”

Bleacher Report also wrote that Seattle native Macklemore, the Grammy-winning rapper and proud Seahawks fan, will be on hand for the festivities.

According to the city of Seattle’s website, there will be extra safety patrols from the Seattle Police Department on duty. “The country’s eyes are upon us, so let’s honor our team’s great win and take care to not do anything that would detract from their outstanding achievement,” the site said.
