Welcome McNally Sagal back to the small screen! The “Sons of Anarchy” alum, who played St. Thomas hospital administrator Margaret Murphy on the hit FX series, is joining ABC’s second season of “Secrets and Lies” in a recurring role.

Season 2 of the ABC crime mystery will introduce brand new characters that are tied to a new murder. While the Crawford family will be a thing of the past, Season 1 star Juliette Lewis will be reprising her role as Detective Andrea Cornell. This season, Cornell will be looking into Eric Warner (Michael Ealy), a “well-educated newlywed and heir apparent to his family’s private equity firm.” Warner seems to have everything going for him … until his wife, Kate (Jordana Brewster), turns up dead.

Sagal will be playing May, the long time executive assistant of Eric’s father, John (Terry O’Quinn). May is also close to Eric, who she worked alongside as he “rose through the ranks” of his father’s company. According to a character description from ABC, May considers the Warners family … which is why she has “kept their secrets through the years.” However, those secrets won’t stay hidden forever. The character synopsis adds, “Kate’s untimely death starts to bring those secrets out.”

Could May hold clues to identifying Kate’s killer? Cornell will certainly be on the case.

Charlie Barnett, Mekia Cox, Kenny Johnson, Annalynne McCord and Eric Winter also star on “Secrets and Lies.” Season 2 will premiere mid-season 2016 on Wednesdays on ABC.
