Security forces kill up to 60 militants in Pakistan
RAWALPINDI - Pakistani security forces have killed up to 60 Taliban in battles in the strategic northwestern valley of Buner, a military spokesman said on Friday, raising the death toll of the militants to over 100 in four days of fighting.
Fifty-five to 60 militants have been killed in the fighting over the past 24 hours, military spokesman Major-General Athar Abbas said. There was no independent confirmation.
