In collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox, Sega will publish a brand new Alien vs. Predator game in the early quarter of 2010.

In its release, SEGA points out that the new game comes from Rebellion, and the original 1999 Aliens versus Predator (was) a legendary title that went on to define an entire generation of multiplayer gaming.

CEO of Sega West, Naoya Tsurumi, said: The innovative new AvP game presents an exciting opportunity for us. It represents a fantastic addition to our growing Aliens franchise and the reinvention of one of gaming's most cherished iconic titles.

No platforms for the new AvP game have been announced, but Sega promises further details very soon.

This marks the third AvP game currently in development that Sega will be publishing

Sega has also announced that they are delaying the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines. The game, which was originally scheduled to hit the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this year, will now be released in late 2010 at the earliest.
