Sega of America Inc. and Europe Ltd. divisions today announced that it will continue their existing partnership with Marvel Entertainment to produce Iron Man 2, the video game.

Paramount and Marvel Studios' Iron Man was one of the top-performing films of 2008, having grossed nearly $600 million in total box-office sales. The multi-platform title is slated to come out in 2010 along with the Marvel Studios film of the same name

We are thrilled to build on the success of the Iron Man phenomenon and work with Marvel and Paramount on another epic project, President of SEGA of America, Inc. Simon Jeffery said.

Development of the game is underway at Sega Studios San Francisco, previously known as Secret Level, which worked with A2M on last year's critically-panned Iron Man video game.

No details have been released on the game or movie versions of Iron Man 2, outside of Sega promising the two companies are collaborating closely to ensure we deliver an authentic 'Iron Man' experience.
