Selena Gomez is giving the American public something to talk about other than her very public split from ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

Gomez, along with Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco can be seen in the recently released trailer for the racy Harmony Korine movie "Spring Breakers."

The two-minute teaser features Gomez, 20, Hudgens, 24, and their co-stars partying in sexy bikinis while toting guns and drinking booze.

Set for release on March 22, the “Spring Breakers” synopsis surrounds Faith (Gomez), Candy (Hudgens), Brit (Ashley Benson), and Cotty (Rachel Korine) who all live in a college dorm and want to go on an adventure.

After landing in jail for robbing a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation, the foursome find themselves bailed out by a drug and arms dealer (Franco) who hires them to do some dirty work.

Speaking with reporters at the Venice Film Festival in September after the film premiered, Gomez said she “did things I didn't even know I could do on the movie and I do think it was because I trusted Harmony."

"I just didn't think I was ready for [racy roles in the past], and I do think that Faith is right for me at this time in my career and in my life," she said of her character, the most wholesome girl in the foursome. "Of course eventually I'm going to kind of work my way up to that I think."

Gomez made recent headlines for taking the stage for at a private concert benefiting UNICEF where she made several cryptic references to moving on from her former flame, Justin Bieber.

"I've been through a lot the past few months. It's been weird and sad and cool," she told the crowd before introducing an acoustic cover of Justin Timberlake's scorned lover's anthem "Cry Me a River." "This song definitely speaks to me."
