The Met Gala was a special night for Selena Gomez and The Weeknd as it marked their red carpet debut as a couple. The pair was all smiles and even snuck in a kiss during their big night out.

On Tuesday, the Instagram account of Vogue Magazine posted a photo of the couple sharing a kiss in what looked to be one of the exhibits in the museum. “Love was in the air at the 2017 #MetGala. Last night marked a milestone for @selenagomez and @theweeknd as the couple made their official red carpet debut,” the publication said of the photo.

Gomez and The Weeknd also shared photos of their couple’s night out on their individual Instagram accounts. The “13 Reasons Why” producer posted a photo of the two holding hands as they walked up the stairs.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd’s photo featured the “Starboy” singer with his arm wrapped around his girlfriend. Although he did not caption the photo, he tagged Gomez in the picture.

The two were pretty much inseparable on the red carpet as Gomez wore a Coach vintage blush silk chiffon dress that also featured lace and floral embroidery. “I wanted the look to be something different than anything I had worn in the past,” she told Vogue.

“The color was different from anything I typically wear and it’s been awhile since I have worn lace,” she added.

Although it was seemingly a date night for the couple, another attendee of the gala was The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid. The model reportedly walked onto the red carpet behind Gomez and The Weeknd and looked amazing while doing so.

The 20-year-old model wore a revealing catsuit designed by Alexander Wang. “I love a sexy look, so I knew Alex was going to do that for me,” Hadid told Vogue.

On Tuesday, the model shared a photo of herself and the designer while thanking him for a lovely night. “Thank you for being my super date,” the star captioned the picture.

Once inside the Gala, Hadid headed for a bathroom break but ended up sitting on the floor and breaking the rules. The model was photographed smoking in the ladies room as she sat on the floor next to Lara Stone, Paris Jackson and Ruby Rose.

Despite ignoring the museum’s “no smoking” rule, Hadid looked as if she was having a blast despite having to share the night with The Weeknd and Gomez.

Reports of the couple first surfaced in January, just a few months after he the singer split with the model. Shortly after reports of The Weeknd’s new romance surfaced, the model unfollowed Gomez on Instagram.

Since becoming a couple, Gomez and The Weeknd have taken several trips together including a romantic vacation to Italy. The starlet also joined her boyfriend on tour in Brazil where she cheered him on from backstage.

Although Gomez and The Weeknd haven’t been together for that long, it looks like the Met Gala is the just the first of many red carpets that they will walk down together.
