Shakira is expecting a baby boy with her partner Gerard Pique, the Colombian singer’s parents confirmed in an interview with Hola! magazine on Tuesday. Shakira and her 27-year-old boyfriend have a son Milan, who was born in January 2013.

Shakira’s parents -- Nidia Ripoll and William Mebarak Chadid -- revealed the news and also added that they were not sure what Shakira and Pique plan to call their next baby.

"We're very happy," William and Nidia reportedly told the magazine, "Yes, another little boy. A playmate for Milan."

Shakira first confirmed the news of her pregnancy to Spanish “Cosmopolitan” magazine in late August, and later took to Twitter to thank her fans for their wishes.

Shakira officially confirmed her relationship with the Spanish football player in March 2011 and revealed her first pregnancy in September 2012. The 37-year-old singer had previously said that she wanted to have a big family with Pique.

"If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already. I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard -- my own futbol team,” Shakira reportedly said, in April.

"When you have a baby, when you feel his love, you feel so at peace with the world. You just want to share the good news and share how happy you feel,” she reportedly said, while talking about motherhood, at the time.
