3. Shaquille O’Neal
We may never see a player with the size and athleticism of “The Diesel.” O’Neal began dominating the league from the moment he set foot on an NBA court and shed the criticism of not winning a championship by collecting four rings in the past decade. Shaq went to the NBA Finals with three different teams, and was nearly the first and only unanimous MVP in 1999-2000 if not for sportswriter Fred Hickman. Reuters

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal conceded defeat to a two-year-old in a free throw contest on talk show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Thursday.

Titus Ashby of Derby, Kansas, faced the four-time NBA champion O’Neal in a level playing field where the hoops were adjusted according to the person’s height. Titus’ hoop was set at a 3-foot height while O’Neal faced a 7-foot-1 hoop.

Each player had 30 seconds to shoot maximum baskets, and Titus won by eight shots. O’Neal was unable to score even one basket in the 30 seconds of the free throw contest.

The toddler took home one of O’Neal’s shoe as the prize and got a congratulatory high five from the NBA star.

This is Titus’ second appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel’s show. In May, he beat the late night chat show host in a similar play-off and has since caught the attention of Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall, who praised the toddler’s shooting skills.

The Ashbys, who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, first grabbed headlines in February of this year when they uploaded a video of Titus shooting baskets.

He has since become a YouTube sensation, and the video has received more than 11 million views.

"Titus has always loved balls,” Kristin Ashby, Titus’ mom, said in a phone interview with the Deseret News. “He spends maybe 10 percent of his free time playing with toys, and 90 percent of the time he just gets balls and shoots them.”
