What happens when you combine sharks, natural disasters and made-for-television movies? "Sharknado."

Machinima released a trailer for the made-for-television movie “Sharknado,” produced by The Asylum, a studio known for its low-budget films that have titles conspicuously similar to major blockbusters, like “Titanic II,” “Atlantic Rim” and “Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies.”

According to the synopsis released by The Asylum, the “Sharknado” plot centers around a hurricane that floods Los Angeles, terrorizing the coastal populace with sharks coming from the land, sea and air.

The trailer shows sharks hurtling out from the ocean, hurricane and sky as they terrorize the city. If you're looking for realism, you probably won't find it in this film. But if you just want to see people being attacked by sharks in ridiculous situations -- watch away.

Tara Reid (“American Pie”), Ian Ziering (“Beverly Hills, 90210”), John Heard (“Home Alone”), Cassie Scerbo (“Bring It On: In It to Win It”) and Jaason Simmons (“Baywatch”) star in the film, which will premiere Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT on Syfy.
