Olympic gold medal-winning snowboarder Shaun White agreed on a settlement with the Nashville District Attorney’s Office that will lead to his public intoxication and vandalism charges being dropped.

Under the agreement between White and the Nashville District Attorney’s Office prosecutors, the charges will be dismissed if White completes an alcohol treatment program, 24 hours of community service and pay restitution in the case, the Associated Press reported.

White, 26, faced public intoxication and vandalism charges stemming from a Sept. 16 incident in which the Olympic snowboarder pulled a fire alarm at a Nashville hotel and then tried to fight another guest who called the cops on him, according to the AP.

White destroyed a telephone during the incident and was seen with a black eye in his booking photo.

When a Nashville judge signed the agreement Wednesday between White and prosecutors, it did not include the alcohol treatment aspect of the deal. The snowboarder and prosecutors are expected to be in court Thursday to amend the deal to include alcohol treatment.

A spokeswoman for the Nashville district attorney said White has already shown proof that he completed the alcohol treatment provision of the deal, the AP reported.

The public intoxication charge will be closed when White either completed 24 hours of community service or spends 42 days in jail. White decided to perform community service and is scheduled to be back in court Jan. 25 to provide proof he completed those hours, the spokeswoman told the AP.

The vandalism charge against White was dismissed Wednesday because the snowboarder and X Games medalist paid restitution to the Nashville hotel that was damaged during the Sept. 16 incident.

It’s unclear how much White paid the hotel, but the charges against him indicated he vandalized less than $500 worth of property, the AP reported.

White is a two-time Olympic gold medalist in snowboarding. The 26-year-old took home gold at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino and followed that up with another gold in 2010 in Vancouver. Both gold medals came in the half-pipe event.

White has also won multiple gold medals in the Winter X Games and a pair of golds in skateboarding at the X Games.
