Reality star Kris Jenner has finally spoken up about Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover. “She’s beautiful,” Kris said. Contrary to some reports, Kris is very supportive of Caitlyn and thinks that unveiling her new identity in such a public way is “truly inspirational.”

Her ex-husband, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, unveiled her new female identity last month through the magazine. Kris did not immediately comment on the cover and her silence sparked a lot of speculation. Some suggested that Kris was not being supportive and that a family feud was brewing.

“I think that someone following their dream is truly inspirational to a lot of people. ... You have to do what makes you happy,” Kris said. Extra caught up with her in France while she was attending Mail Online’s “Seriously Popular” yacht party.

Kris was at the event with daughters Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner. Both daughters and Caitlyn’s other children and stepchildren have been very vocal about their support for Caitlyn. The entire brood is reportedly trying to rearrange their schedules so they can escort Caitlyn when she receives the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPYs on July 15.

Kim is currently pregnant and hopes she is feeling well enough to attend the event. Caitlyn is excited to face thousands of her peers from the sports world for the first time as a woman. Her selection as the award’s recipient has been met with mixed reactions.

Kris had mostly kept quiet about the transition, save for her part in a two-part E! special titled “Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce,” which aired shortly after Caitlyn admitted in April that she was transgender. The members of the Kardashian-Jenner family all spoke up about their experience in the hopes of helping others who are going through the same situation.
