UPDATE: 2:40 a.m. EST The Russian military said Monday that 32 people were injured and taken to hospital following a plane crash in Siberia. Sixteen of those injured are reportedly in very critical condition, but no casualties have been reported so far.

UPDATE: 1:39 a.m. EST – According to reports, all passengers and crew on board the Russian Il-18 plane that crashed Monday have survived.

An Il-18 aircraft with nearly 40 people on board crashed in the Bulunsky district of Siberia’s Yakutia, a law enforcement source said Monday, according to TASS. While authorities reportedly said all passengers and crew on board were alive, there have been conflicting reports of the casualties, with the BBC reporting that 27 people have been killed.

"As a result of the accident, all passengers and crew members are alive. Sixteen individuals sustained severe injuries. Search-and-rescue helicopters have evacuated them to regional health centers of Tiksi," the Russian Defense Ministry said, according Sputnik News.

The plane was traveling from the Koltsovo airport in Yekaterinburg when it crashed 16 miles from Tiksi village, the source said, adding that the aircraft was carrying a rotating team of officers.

"According to preliminary information, the plane broke into three, it [the crash] was not followed by fire outbreak," another source reportedly said.

An evacuation of the victims is ongoing.
