Sikh Temple Killer's Mother Apologizes To Wisconsin Shooting Victims

Laura Lynn, the mother of former soldier Wade Michael Page, who shot dead six people and injured three at a Sikh temple Sunday, expressed her anguish over how her "precious little boy" had turned into a killer and apologized to the victims of the Wisconsin temple shooting.

Mourners, including Amardeep Kaleka, whose father, the temple president Satwant Kaleka, was killed, cry outside the scene of a mass shooting in Oak Creek, Wis.

"My heart goes out to all the people who lost their loved ones, that's all I can say, I am so sorry," Lynn toldthe Mail Online.

Apparently, Lynn had no contact with her son from the time she and her husband Jesse Alvin Page got divorced, the Mail Online reported.

Shocked and devastated at her son's act, Lynn told Mail Online: "He was such a precious little boy, that's all I can say. He was a very fun-loving, typical little boy. He was just a very soft spoken, gentle young man."

Asked if the army career had changed her son, Lynn said: "I have no idea. I had not been in contact with him that much. Actually, in the last 12 years, I have not been in contact with him at all since his dad and I divorced."

Page was relieved from the army after six years of service. He was given a less-than-honorable discharge in October 1998 following a pattern of misconduct, including being drunk on duty and going Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL), the Mail Online added.

In the army, Page initially served as a missile system repairman at Fort Bliss in Texas, and in his second posting at Fort Bragg he was reportedly involved in Psychological Operations.

During his stint at Fort Bragg, Page was demoted from Sergeant to Specialist and deemed ineligible for re-enlistment, the Mail Online reported.
