SilverCrest Mines Inc. said Friday its initial resource estimate at its La Joya Property in Durango, Mexico, is 51.3 million ounces of silver and 333,400 ounces of gold.

The estimate reflects analysis of historical data and recent drilling results, the Vancouver-based company said.

SilverCrest's flagship property is its 100-percent owned Santa Elena Mine, located in Mexico's Sonora state.

The company said it expects t the 2,500 metric ton-per-day facility should recover approximately 4,805,000 ounces of silver and 179,000 ounces of gold over the 6.5 year life of the open pit phase of the Santa Elena Mine.
