Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was pushed further to resign after he lost his absolute parliamentary majority following a key vote in Italy's Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday.

The results indicated that 321 abstained and 308 voted in favor of his Government's budget, yet far below the 316 needed for an absolute majority, pointing that many of Berlusconi's own coalition refused to support him.

Though Berlusconi's Government got the budget passed, yet he still probably leans toward an inevitable resignistion amid growing calls demanding the premier to resign, no longer having faith he could upstand the countr's debt crisis as Itlay battles profoundly to convince investors it can fund itself.
