RTTNews - Singapore is scheduled to release April numbers for retail sales, headlining a light day for Asian economic activity.

Analysts are predicting retail sales to contract 8.1 percent on year following the7.3 percent annual decline in March. Seasonally adjusted, sales are called higher by 2 percent on month after the 5.1 percent monthly decline in March.

New Zealand is set to provide Q1 numbers for manufacturing activity. Forecasts call for a 1.0 percent decline compared to the previous quarter following the flat reading three months earlier.
