RTTNews - Visitor arrivals into Singapore dropped 13% year-on-year in May to 730,000, the country's Tourism Board said Friday.

During the month, tourists from India, Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia and China, accounted for 53.1% of the total arrivals.

Tourist arrivals declined sharply from China and Japan in May, partly due to the outbreak of swine flu.

At the same time, tourist arrivals rose 12.1% from Vietnam, 5.1% from Malaysia and 1.4% from the Philippines.
