“Sister Wives” Season 7 Spoilers
Kody Brown learned about Meri’s emotional, online affair during the Season 6 finale of “Sister Wives.” TLC

The Brown family will return to the small screen on Sunday with a two-hour Season 7 premiere of TLC’s “Sister Wives.” And according to the promo video for the upcoming installment, the new season will be stuffed with all sorts of drama from Meri’s catfishing scandal to the birth of Robyn and Kody’s second child.

But before the Brown clan takes over our TV’s, here’s a refresher of all the chaos that occurred in the Season 6 finale of “Sister Wives” — drama that will roll over into the new season.

In the last episode of the sixth season, Kody, his four wives, and their children packed their bags for a family vacation to Alaska. It was on their trip to the The Last Frontier that Caleb asked Kody for his permission to marry Maddie and where Robyn announced the gender of her baby.

“Best vacation with the family ever!” Kody, patriarch of the polygamist family, said while the family was out to dinner. But it was during their feast that Meri unveiled a major secret — one that had the potential of tearing her family apart.

“I’ve needed to have a conversation with Kody and my sister wives for a while. So, now that we’re sitting here at dinner maybe I should do it now,” Meri said.

Kody’s first sister wife divulged that she had been struggling lately with feelings of loneliness — an issue that left her in a “weird place.” So, Meri found comfort in an unexpected place … the internet. “I started talking to this person online and we laughed. It was like I felt this release and it just felt really good,” she said, revealing that her friendship with her online friend developed into some more emotional.

“He was really starting to make me feel love for who he was portraying himself to be,” Meri told her family. “It was probably one of the most confusing situations I’ve ever been in because I’m sitting here, married, and I’m feeling these other emotions directed toward somebody else.”

But Meri feelings for her mystery man drastically changed when she realized the person behind the screen was “feeding [her] a line of bulls—.” After a bit of digging, Meri explained to her family that the man she was talking to wasn’t who he said he was. He was actually a she.

“I believe that it was a woman pretending to be a man,” Meri stated. “It was a woman who had been watching me online and I feel like I have been targeted. I feel like my family has been targeted.”

But Meri’s family wasn’t upset with Meri’s shocking confession, they were just relieved that their fellow sister wife wasn’t abandoning them. So, Janelle explained during the “Tell All” that once Meri came clean, she decided to go to battle against Meri’s attacker.

“My first reaction was to put on armor and go to war,” Kody’s second sister wife said while Christine, Kody’s third sister wife, added that it’s their job to “keep everybody safe.” And that’s what the Brown family intends on doing — supporting one another especially in their darkest of times.

“The thing I can say for sure is that I feel like this person or these people who started focusing on us — for whatever reason, I don’t know why — and targeted us and wanted to tear our family apart … that’s not happening on our watch,” Meri concluded the emotional Season 7 “Tell All.”

Find out what’s next for the Brown family when “Sister Wives” returns with its Season 7 premiere on Sunday, May 8, at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
