RTTNews - Industrial production in South Korea declined 9% year-on-year in May, faster than a 8.2% fall in April, the National Statistical Office said Tuesday. Economists expected a drop of 8.6%.

After adjusting for working day effects, industrial output dropped 7.8% in May compared to a 9.4% decline in the preceding month.

Month-on-month, industrial output rose 1.6% in May, slower than a 2.5% rise in April.
