Wednesday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 2.3% year-over-year in April, slower than the 2.6% increase in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.1% in April, after falling 0.2% in March.

For the January to April period, consumer prices increased 2.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, the core inflation stood at 1.2% annually in April, down from 1.6% increase in the previous month.
