RTTNews - Wednesday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 2.5% year-over-year in July, faster than the 2.4% growth in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.2% in July, compared to the 0.5% increase in the previous month.

For the January to July period, consumer prices climbed 2.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Separately, the statistical office said the core inflation stood at 1.3% annually in July, unchanged from the previous month. On a monthly basis, the core inflation slowed to 0.2% from 0.7% in June. For the first seven months of the year, the core inflation was 1.6% over a year ago.

Meanwhile, the net annual inflation eased to 2.3% in July from 2.4% in June, and it was up 0.5% compared to the previous month.
