Slovakia's harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 1.8% year-on-year in March, slowing from a 2.4% rise in February, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic said Thursday.

Month-on-month, the HICP fell 0.3% in March, after remaining flat in the previous month.

The HICP fell on a monthly basis mainly due to decline in prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, transport, clothing and footwear, alcoholic beverages and tobacco as also household equipment.
