RTTNews - Monday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic said in a report that industrial output dropped 24.8% year-on-year in April. This follows a 17.8% decline in production in March.

On an annual basis, manufacturing output fell 29% in April, while mining and quarrying output declined 7.3%. Production of utilities was down 2.6%. Among the main industrial groups, output decreased the most in investment goods by 46.4%.

In the four months of the year, industrial production dipped 23.5% compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.

Meanwhile, construction output decreased 13.9% year-on-year in April, faster than a 5.7% decline in March.

In the four months ended April, construction output was down 13.7% from the same period last year.
