RTTNews - Tuesday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic announced that the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 1.1% year-over-year in May, slower than the 1.4% increase in April.

This was the lowest annual HICP inflation rate in the history, the statistical office said.

On a monthly basis, the HICP climbed 0.1% in May, after falling 0.1% in April.

In May, the consumer price index or CPI increased 2.2% year-on-year in May, slowing from 2.3% rise in the preceding month.

Month-on-month, the CPI were up 0.2% in May, reversing a 0.1% fall in April.
