Friday, a report by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic said producer prices in the domestic market rose 1.8% annually in February, at a slower pace compared to a 3.7% increase in January.

In February, manufacturing and quarrying prices increased 14.2% on annual basis, slowing from a 21.4% rise in the previous month. Prices of electricity, gas, steam and air-condition supply increased 10% compared to a 13.6% rise in the preceding month. However, manufacturing prices fell 4.6% compared to a 3.7% drop in January.

Month-on-month, producer prices in the domestic market rose 0.5% in February, following a 1.2% fall in January.
