RTTNews - Friday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic said producer prices dropped 8.2% year-on-year in May, after declining 6.5% in the previous month.

Manufacturing prices dropped 7% on an annual basis, following a 5.8% fall in the previous month. However, mining and quarrying prices rose 3.4%,slower than a 10.2% increase in April. Price of utilities also climbed at a slower pace, by 3.2% compared to a 5.5% rise in the preceding month.

Month-on-month, producer prices were down 0.7% in May compared to a 0.6% fall in April.
