Slovak Retail Trade Turnover Declines Again In May

RTTNews - Friday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic said the retail trade turnover at constant prices dropped 12.3% on a yearly basis in May, after falling 9.2% in the preceding month.

At the same time, the wholesale trade turnover at current prices declined 30.2%. Turnover in accommodation fell 30% at constant prices, while the turnover in restaurants and beverage service activities decreased 30.8%. Turnover in sale and repair of motorcycles and motor vehicles fell 15.3%.

In the first five months of the year, the retail trade turnover declined 11% at constant prices compared to the same period last year.
