Thursday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 1.1% year-over-year in April, slower than the1.8% increase in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.1% in April, compared with a 1% rise seen in the preceding month.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP grew 1.1% annually in April, slower than the 1.6% increase in the preceding month. The HICP was up 0.2% in April compared to the previous month.

For the January to April period, consumer prices climbed 1.7% compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, the HICP increased 1.5%.
