RTTNews - Monday, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic said in a report that the consumer confidence indicator in June rose 6 percentage points from May, to reach the highest level since October last year. However, the indicator was down 3 percentage points from last year's average and 4 percentage points lower than in the previous year.

In June, consumers were more optimistic about the unemployment situation, with the index showing the highest improvement among the sub indicators, rising 10 percentage points. Further, consumers' assessment about increase in prices over the last 12 months revealed that consumers were 1 percentage point more optimistic than in May, 43 percentage points more optimistic than last year's average and 49 percentage points more optimistic than in the same month last year.
