RTTNews - Slovenia's gross domestic product contracted 9.3% year-on-year in the second quarter, sharper than a 8.3% drop in the first quarter, the Statical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said Monday. This is the third consecutive quarter of decline and the deepest in the current economic crisis, the statistical office said.

The adjusted GDP fell 9% on a yearly basis, compared to a 8.9% fall in the preceding quarter.

Sequentially, the GDP rose a seasonal and working day adjusted 0.7% in the second quarter, reversing two consecutive quarters of decline, signally a break in the recession.
