Wednesday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia announced that the industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 0.7% month-on-month in January, after falling 4% in December.

In January, manufacturing production increased 0.4% on a monthly basis, while mining and quarrying production dropped 4.5%. Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply production was up 0.9%.

Year-on-year, industrial production declined a working day adjusted 17.4% in January, compared with a 17.5% fall in the previous month. During the period, manufacturing output dipped 19.2%, while mining and quarrying output dropped 3.2%.

Meanwhile, stocks of industrial products rose 1.7% month-on-month in January, and it was up 7.4% compared to the previous year.
