Monday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in a report that industrial turnover dropped a working day adjusted 24% year-on-year in February, faster than a 20.9% fall in January.

Annually, manufacturing turnover slipped 24.1%, while mining and quarrying turnover declined 18.7%.

On a monthly basis, industrial turnover was down a seasonally adjusted 1% in February, compared to a 1.4% rise in the previous month.

For the first two months of the year, industrial turnover dipped 22.5% compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, new orders in the industrial sector fell 26.6% year-on-year in February, after declining 39.9% in January. Month-on-month, new orders rose 10% in February, following a 9.4% increase in the preceding month.

In the January-February period, new orders slipped 33.7% from the previous year.
