Tuesday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 1.8% year-over-year in March, slower than the 2.1% rise recorded in the previous month. A year ago, the CPI was up 6.9%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 1% in March, after rising 0.5% in February.

For the January to March period, the CPI grew 1% compared to the 1.3% increase in the same period of the previous year.

The harmonized index of consumer prices declined 1.6% annually in March, compared to the 6.6% rise seen in the previous year. The HICP was up 0.8% compared to the previous month.
