Slovenia's jobless rate increased to 8.2% in February from 7.8% in the previous month, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said Thursday. There were 77,182 registered unemployed persons in February.

During the month, the jobless rate for men increased to 7.3% from 6.9% in January, while it rose to 9.3% from 9% for women.

Meanwhile, the number of employed decreased by 3,500 persons to 868,732 in February. The labor force declined by 250 persons to 945,914 in the month.
