Bridgette is determined to make more money in this week’s installment of “SMILF.”

According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 3 of the Showtime dramedy, Bridgette (Frankie Shaw) takes to Craigslist for some fast cash after learning that her friend Eliza (Raven Goodwin) has earned some money from using the website.

“There’s plenty of other things you can be doing to make money,” Eliza tells Bridgette in the trailer for the episode. After Bridgette asks what those things are, the teaser starts to show Bridgette filming a shower scene for what appears to be an adult movie. She’s also seen making herself bounce on an inflatable lifebuoy as Eliza films her with her phone. “Keep bouncing! Make it sexy,” Eliza tells Bridgette as the latter acts in front of the camera as if she’s having sex.

But after Bridgette realizes how silly the whole thing is, the mother of one says, “I think I got to find something else to do.”

In a sneak peek from the episode, Bridgette — who already works as a tutor — visits a recruitment agency to look for another job.

“What exactly are you looking for?” a recruiter asks Bridgette.

“Anything, really,” Bridgette replies. “It’s time for me to get serious so hopefully this temp thing will turn to full-time.”

The recruiter informs Bridgette that there’s an opening at a collection company. Although Bridgette points out that it’s “16 buses away” from where she lives, she says that’s she’s willing to apply for the job. But when Bridgette finds out that it only pays 11 dollars an hour, she tells the recruiter that she needs to make enough money to pay for fulltime childcare unless she can bring her son to work.

When the recruiter makes it clear that children are not allowed in the workplace, he looks for other job opportunities that Bridgette could pursue. “You know I think I might actually have an opening in prostitution,” the recruiter says, much to Bridgette’s surprise.”It’s actually perfect for you. [You] make your own hours, pay is great, [and it’s] recession proof.”

When Bridgette expresses her doubts, the recruiter goes on to say why prostitution would be perfect for her. “You get to call the shots,” the recruiter says. “There’s a risk factor but some people find that thrilling. And with your history of sexual abuse and food issues, I mean, you really do make the perfect candidate.”
