"Saturday Night Live" (SNL) writer and actor Josh Patten on Sunday revealed his "new, incredibly stupid project" on Twitter and has been replying to President Donald Trump's tweets as if they were text messages. Patton disclosed his brilliant idea through a tweet Sunday which featured screenshots of some tweets.

Patton's most recent reply was Thursday when he responded to Trump's tweet which read: "Republican senators 'MUST keep their promise' to repeal Obamacare." Patton responded to it casually by specifying his plans for the day.

Patten has been writing for the SNL show since 2012, including Trump's 2015 episode where the president hosted the show in November that year. According to his biography on IMDb, Patten "is a writer and an actor, known for Saturday Night Live (1975), Comedy Central Roast of James Franco (2013) and Saturday Night Live: Best of This Season (2014)."

While Trump's tweets generate thousands of comments and views every day, Patten's approach in replying to the commander-in-chief has been different and new.

Since the time Patten has started replying to the president's tweets, he has offered Netflix recommendations, travel tips, and a typical "text if you need anything."

In one of his replies, Patten suggested that he could offer binge-watching recommendations to the president after his infamous tweet that Trump has "very little time to watch television."

Responding to Trump’s tweet regarding his meeting with the dedicated men and women of the @USEmbassyFrance, Patten suggested that Trump should pay a visit to the Louvre "if you have time."

And whenever Patten fails to respond to Trump's tweets, he often uses his signature go-to excuse that reads: "sorry just seeing this."

When Trump posted about his Europe trip to attend the G20 summit, Patten responded saying: "Call when you land." The SNL writer wrote to the president as if he was replying to one of his friends via a text message. When the president posted about being at the Women's Open, Patten responded saying: "Sounds neat, keep me posted."

Patten also responded to Trump’s tweet where he defended his son Donald Trump Jr. and his meeting last summer with a Russian attorney in the hope of collecting damaging information about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. "Most politicians would have gone to a meeting like the one Donald Jr. attended in order to get info on an opponent. That's politics!" the president wrote.

Patten replied asking if there was "any good info?"

Patten also posted hilarious replies on the president's tweets which resulted in a series of crazy exchanges such as some of these below:

Trump's tweets have been responded to in a number of ways earlier and users still continue to do so. Sometimes his followers use pictures and omit the text completely using GIFs. Sometimes users also use a lot of emojis while replying to the president on Twitter.
