Will Solange be poking fun of her elevator fight on Saturday Night Live? Following the May 5th incident, there were rumors that the 27-year-old would be featured on the NBC comedy skit. However, that will not be happening any time soon, and older sister Beyoncé is reportedly relieved.

“Out of respect for Beyoncé, Solange will not be doing any spoofs whatsoever on her now famous elevator attack with Jay Z,” an insider told HollywoodLife. “At first, she actually considered taking a jab at herself to lighten up the incident, but Beyoncé pleaded with her not to to draw any more attention to it.” Solange’s rep also said, “I can confirm that Solange is not appearing on Saturday Night Live.”

At the Met Gala after-party in New York on May 5, Solange, Beyoncé and Jay Z got into an elevator with Beyoncé’s bodyguard, when the 27-year-old immediately began yelling at and kicking Jay Z.

In the video, Beyoncé seems to do nothing while she stands next to her husband. At one point, Beyoncé’s bodyguard has to hold Solange back. But that does not keep her from kicking Jay Z. TMZ released the black-and-white footage on Monday.

It is unclear what triggered the fight, but there is no known history of Jay Z and Solange disliking one another. Since the incident, Solange has gone to New Orleans to spend time with her boyfriend of several years, music video director Alan Ferguson.

On Thursday, Beyoncé released a statement regarding the fight, which said, in part, “Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
