Network software provider SolarWinds Inc said it has acquired certain assets of privately held IT management software provider Tek-Tools Inc in a cash-and-stock deal for up to $42 million.

SolarWinds said the deal will add management of enterprise storage infrastructure to existing network and applications management capabilities.

Shares of the company, which made its debut on the New York Stock Exchange in May last year, closed at $20.37 on Tuesday. (Reporting by Deepti Govind in Bangalore; Editing by Aradhana Aravindan)
