Can you believe “Sons of Anarchy” will be airing its final season premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 10 p.m. EDT? It feels like just yesterday Kurt Sutter was introducing us to the motorcycle club from Charming who would eventually steal our hearts with their witty one-liners and swoon-worthy bears.

Now fast forward six years later and fans are being forced to say farewell to the cast of “SoA” who have been keeping our nail beds chewed down since 2008. And although it’ll be tough to bid the leather-donning characters adieu when Season 7 concludes, we have to admit – we don’t know how we’re going to react when time comes for us to wave goodbye to Jackson Nathaniel “Jax” Teller. (Actually, we have a feeling it might look something like this.)

Throughout the past seven seasons we’ve watched Jax grow from a curious boy looking to fulfill his father’s wishes of ending corruption in the Sons to carving up an inmate’s stomach while serving time in prison. Talk about a 180.

With that said, we think it’s safe to say Jax has become one of the shows – if not the most – evolved characters of the FX series. In fact, during the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con Sutter revealed at the “SoA” panel that he felt as if he were “writing for a brand new character” while developing Jax’s Season 7 script.

"This season will be the most proactive for Jax. He's driven, with a singular purpose. Rather than being the reactor to chaos, (Jax) is the inciter of chaos,” the creator added.

And we can’t exactly blame Jax for shedding his empathetic skin. Not only has he lost his father, brother, best friend, and wife (thanks to Gemma and a craving fork) throughout the course of “SoA” but now Jax’s professional life will be taking a brutal beating when his trusted ally and father figure, Nero, stabs him in the back by joining forces with the Mayans.

This unfortunate union could be the end to the Sons – that is, if Jax doesn’t find a way to get out of prison and intervene. But according to set images of "SoA," it looks as if Jax will manage to get out of jail to confront Nero -- and it's not going to be with hugs and kisses.
