Smartphone maker Sony Ericsson has announced a limited time exclusive agreement with EAMobile, a division of Electronic Arts Inc., which is the world's leading mobile games publisher, to bring the most anticipated FIFA 12 on Xperia PLAY which runs on Android.

The new game will provide gameplay depth, authentic commentaries, updated teams from the top leagues and an all new replay system. FIFA 12 on Xperia PLAY is set to become the ultimate football experience for Android.

The dedicated graphical processing unit, optimized memory bandwidth and 60fps rendering of Xperia PLAY will improve the football gameplay experience.

"FIFA 12 will undoubtedly be one of this year's most popular games and Xperia PLAY consumers will be able to master it before any other Android users," said Dominic Neil-Dwyer, Head of Market Development for Sony Ericsson in an interview. "Adding to a portfolio of quality games for Xperia PLAY, FIFA 12 adapts perfectly to the device and delivers the best football experience on Android."

Xperia PLAY the world's first PlayStation certified smartphone and FIFA 12 will be available for the device worldwide in the holiday season, according to a Market Watch report.

Elsewhere, the first official FIFA 12 Gamescom video has released prior to its press conference that will be followed by a Community Q&A with David Rutter, FIFA 12 producer.

FIFA 12 will arrive with improved Impact Engine, Tactical Defending, Precision Dribbling, Presentation and Pro Player Intelligence. The game is set for a September 27 release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Vita, Xperia Play, PlayStation Portable, 3DS, and iOS. Demos of the game will be available September 13 onwards.
