Samsung is not alone to sizzle up the market with its next-gen smartphone offering. There are other Android manufacturers in the showground who are all set to splash the smartphone arena with their latest flagship devices to challenge Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S3.
Taiwanese firm HTC released its powerful phone HTC One X recently. However, talking about the next biggest release in Android market, the spotlight will be stolen by none other than Sony Mobile Communications.
The Japanese phone manufacturer is gearing up secretly to launch one of its best smartphone offering in the market so far. All the tech gossipers must have already heard of the Sony LT29i Hayabusa handset, which became the center of attraction for discussion when its features got leaked at the beginning of the year in the manufacturer's roadmap details for 2012.
However, that was the first and the last time anyone got to hear about Hayabusa handset until the Baidu blog revealed recently the latest details of the handset. Baidu has claimed that Sony is preparing to launch Hayabusa handset in June.
The source in the Baidu report has revealed that Sony LT29i Hayabusa handset is expected to come with the new 13 megapixel stacked camera sensor from Sony that will purportedly deliver an improved low-light performance as well as introduce the users to the HDR Video function.

Sony LT29i Hayabusa is expected to dent the market with a mouth-watering 4.55″ HD Reality Display and a decent 2,200mAh battery. The phone would further sport a 7mm thin case and would be powered by the killer 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. The Chinese source has also provided the image leak of the prototype of the next best device, which the report mentioned would be radically different form the original handset when it is launched.
The latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS-powered Sony LT29i Hayabusa is expected to be officially announced in June and it may hit the markets in July at an expected price of 493 euros ($650). Some reports have suggested that this device might be renamed as the Sony Xperia GX eventually.
Samsung Galaxy S3, on the other hand, would be launched in London May 3 and tech enthusiasts are anticipating high-end features in the device, including 4.8-inch full HD 1080p resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio display, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, 4G LTE, NFC capability, the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and an ultra-thin ceramic case.
Samsung might have a slight edge over Sony Hayabusa as recently the Korean phone manufacturer informed the media in their press release that the company was already in production of Exynos 4 Quad, the quad-core processor chip which will be loaded in the next Galaxy smartphone to make it a powerful gadget than any other Smartphone brand. Further, observing the current situation, industry experts would assume that Galaxy S3 would also garner more sales, going by its predecessor S2's performance and sales.
On the contrary, a recent report has claimed that Sony is preparing to enter the quad-core battleground as well. The company is set to launch its first-ever quad-core handset LT30i in October. The device is rumored to sport an OLED display.
The reports have hinted towards the launch of a second new Xperia - ST21i (apparently codenamed Tapioca). Rumor has it that this device will be smaller than the current Xperia S. It would boast the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and feature a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 3MP rear camera, 800MHz processor and 512MB of RAM.
Well, Sony is surely heading to 'make.believe' the smartphone maniacs out there, that they are prepping up to put a serious threat against the knockout brands scheduled to release this year.
