Sony will announce the Xperia Z1 (Honami) smartphone along with several new devices at the IFA 2013 Electronics Trade Show in Berlin on Wednesday at 10 a.m. EDT. Sony will offer a live stream of the event online.

Embedded below is a live stream of Sony's IFA 2013 event, where the company is also expected to officially unveil the QX10 and QX100 interchangeable smartphone lenses.

The live stream will showcase Sony's Berlin event. The International Business Times will also cover Sony's U.S. event at the Jazz at Lincoln Center theater in New York City this morning, to give you all the details of the newest products from the company, including the Xperia Z1.

The Xperia Z1 is a follow-up on the Xperia Z, which was available only to T-Mobile customers in the U.S. The Xperia Z1 will be waterproof, and it will likely contain a large camera sensor to compete with devices like the Nokia Lumia 1020.

Sony is also expected to provide more details at the event about its newest wearable technology -- the SmartWatch 2 (SW2) -- and a bevy of accessories for Xperia Z1, previously called the Honami or Xperia I1.

Sony's newest smartphones run on the Android operating system, which is developed by Google. The Xperia Z1 is rumored to have a 5-inch, Full HD 1080p display, along with a new quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
