The new tablet comes with the Xperia moniker and is called the Xperia Tablet S. The tablet features a 9.4-inch HD display with 1280×800 resolution and runs on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Xperia Tablet S is powered by NVIDIA(R) Tegra(R) 3 quad-core processor and comes with a slim, new aluminium body and splash-proof design.
The Xperia tablet will be available in retail stores in the U.S. from Sept. 7 at $399 for a 16-gigabyte version and $599 for a 64-gigabyte model, the company said in a press release. Sony is also providing a keyboard that doubles as a cover. For this, customers will have to pay an additional $99.99.
On the other hand, the three new smartphones include Xperia T, which is the new company flagship, Xperia V and Xperia J. The Xperia T will also have a variant called Xperia TX and it will retail in select markets.
The Xperia T is powered by 1.5 GHz Qualcomm's MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 Plus SoC (system on chip) and runs on Android 4.0.4 (ICS). The device has a massive 4.6-inch Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA engine and 13 megapixel rear camera.
