A short video featuring “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner has landed the actress in hot water after some Twitter users believe Turner said the n-word in the video. The clip, which also features Joe Jonas, sees the camera turn towards Turner as she says something and laughs.

Reposted by a Twitter account called @gameofupdates, the tweet reads, “New: Sophie Turner says the n word causally and laughs about it and this marks the end of this updates account :).” The tweet was retweeted more than 800 times as the news began to spread.

“Sophie Turner cancelled. Joe Jonas cancelled. That other Caucasian who was laughing cancelled. I said what I said,” wrote one Twitter user, while another user tweeted, “Sophie Turner is cancelled. Says the N word, fakes coming out, she’s not needed anymore.”

While many were quick to accuse the 21-year-old of saying the word, others believed she said another expletive instead. “Why would she say the N word right to the camera lol knowing it’s going on social media,” asked one Twitter user. The original poster of clip, Brendan Fallis, reportedly confirmed that Turner did not say the n-word, claiming she said another curse instead.

It’s not Turner’s first time finding herself in the middle of a controversy. Last year, the actress made a joke about being a pansexual, after tweeting a photo of a woman wearing a pot over her head and saying, “I’ve been having PANsexual thoughts recently.” She also hashtagged the post with “#confessiontime,” which led some to believe the actress was coming out.

In a follow-up post, Turner said her tweet was just a joke. “Okay guys… so this wasn’t my coming out. Merely a pun. But I’m actually overwhelmed by all of the love and support. In a time when there feels like there is such a divide, it’s so important that we support each other through things like this,” she wrote.

Unfortunately for the actress, her follow-up post also got her in trouble when she said coming out shouldn’t be a thing. “We shouldn’t feel like we have to ‘come out’ at all, it shouldn’t even be a thing. But all of this support you guys have just shown means that we’re making progress in working towards that end goal of not having to make an event of revealing one's sexual orientation. It’s awesome to see.”

Turner recently starting dating Joe Jonas earlier this year, posting a photo of the singer on Instagram on New Year’s Day. A source for People said, “They’re dating exclusively. He was playing the field, but he really likes her and is willing to settle down for her.”

During a recent interview with InStyle, Turner said there were benefits to dating other celebrities. “I found it easier to date someone who understands the industry or is in that world. You realize that you’re not going to see each other all the time. And you don’t feel like a jerk when you’re like, ‘My publicist says I can’t do this.’”
