Anooraq Resources Corp. said Monday a worker at a South African platinum mine died after being struck by a dump truck.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, died in the main decline shaft of the Bokoni Platinum Mine, where operations were halted Saturday, the Vancouver-based company said.
A preliminary investigation into the accident has been conducted with the South African Department of Mineral Resources and union representatives.
