South Korean model Daul Kim was found hanged in her Paris apartment Thursday, a spokeswoman for the city prosecutor's office said.

Police were investigating the cause of the 20-year-old's death and said it was most likely that she committed suicide, the prosecutor's spokeswoman told Reuters Friday.

Kim's body was found Thursday morning in her apartment in Paris by a male friend, who alerted the police.

We are in shock and profoundly sad to learn of the death of Daul Kim, said Patrick Lemire, booking director at Marilyn Agency, which had worked with Kim.

She was a real artist, a model with character, she wasn't a weak woman at all, he told Reuters Television.

Kim, who modeled for Chanel, Dries Van Noten and Maison Martin Margiela, made her debut at Paris Fashion Week in 2007, according to fashion magazine Vogue's website, www.vogue.com.

Kim's blog (iliketoforkmyself.blogspot.com) was last updated Wednesday, with a YouTube video of the song I Go Deep by Jim Rivers.
